Healthy Adult Volunteers (55 - 85) wanted for Early-onset Alzheimer's Disease Study

The UCLA Behavioral Neurology program is looking for healthy adults between the ages of 55 and 85.

Participants will serve as healthy comparison subjects for an early-onset Alzheimer's disease study and will undergo neurocognitive tasks administered by neurologists. The cognitive testing will include tasks to measure thinking, memory, problem solving skills, vision, language, and other cognitive domains.

Participants will also undergo a 40 minute MRI sequence for the investigators to capture a brain scan.

Participants should be wiling to return to the neurology clinic one year later for a follow up visit, which will be administration of the same neurological tasks done at the first visit.


  • Potential participants should have normal visual acuity (corrective lenses are OK).
  • Any metal in the body (including medical implants) should be MRI-compliant.
  • Potential particpants should not be diagnosed with any complicating physical or psychiatric illnesses.
