 Does your teen have anxiety?

We hypothesize that the state of anxiety may diminish the ability to experience reward, and subsequently contribute to low motivation. Results from this study may help future efforts to develop novel individualized treatments that either reduce anxiety and/or target reward motivation.

The UCLA Eating Disorder Research Program is looking for females to take part in a study that is providing:

  • Evaluation
  • Two MRI brain scans
  • Payment for participation ($75 and parking validation)

Your teen may be eligible if she:

  • Has anxiety
  • Is between 12 and 17 years of age
  • Has no history of psychiatric disorders
  • Is not taking any psychiatric medications

Study conducted by Jamie Feusner, M.D., Michael Strober, Ph.D.,  and Susan Bookheimer, Ph.D.
