Critical Role of Nursing in Cellular Therapies

Hosted by CIRM (California Institute of Regenerative Medicine) and the Alpha Stem Cell Clinics Network (UCLA-UC Irvine, UC Davis, UCSF, UC San Diego, and City of Hope).

This two-day training program will provide RNs and other allied health professionals key information on clinical trials research, emerging cell-based therapies, and to address the pivotal role nurses play in carrying out these complex therapies for our patients and families. Such stem-cell-based therapies are the primary work of the CIRM Alpha Stem Cell Clinics. Continuing education hours will be available.

Conference Award

We are offering conference awards to cover the $50 registration fee for up to 20 selected recipients. Travel, accommodations, and outside meals are not covered. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the conference both days.


  • UCLA-Affiliated RN, NP, or LVN with at least 2 years of UCLA work experience
  • Interest in learning more about clinical trials, regenerative medicine, and stem cell-based therapies
  • Permission of supervisor for nursing education leave or personal time off (if applicable)
  • Must be able to attend the entire 2-day conference
