2019 Hilton Global Summer Scholars Program

DGSOM WMD twitter logo

Hello!

We are thrilled to announce the 2019 Hilton Global Summer Scholars Program.

For the summer of 2019, selected scholars will be placed with civil society and/or think tank partners around the world to conduct intensive fieldwork projects.  Before, during, and after these summer experiences, scholars will contribute to building the evidence base on what works to improve the lives of the poor and most marginalized communities, while gaining valuable international experience and gaining the opportunity to share findings with a range of stakeholders.

Some key elements of this program are:

  • Scholars will spend 9 to 12 weeks in summer 2019 working internationally on initiatives focused on reducing poverty and achieving the SDGs.
  • Scholars will acquire valuable hands-on training to prepare for careers with civil society organizations, global intergovernmental organizations, governments, private sector initiatives, think tanks, and others.
  • Scholars will receive $5,000 to fund their summer fieldwork.

The application deadline is Thursday, February 28, 2019.

Attached please find the program application and FAQ. For anyone interested in learning more, we are hosting information sessions in early February (see attachment for additional details). Please feel free to share this information as widely as possible.
