Launching the 25th anniversary of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, the E. Richard Brown Symposium will be held on March 1-2, 2019. Dr. Brown, founder of the Center, spent his life advocating strongly for a care-for-all system that would ensure health services for every Californian. Honoring that spirit, the symposium topic is universal health care in California, engaging experts, lawmakers, and academics in a review of possible system designs, policy proposals, and important areas of research to inform a robust discussion on the future of health coverage that benefits everyone in the state.

This workshop on March 2nd will feature discussion of the successful development and implementation of universal health care systems in Taiwan, Canada and other middle-income countries by international experts in universal care models.
