Volunteers needed for Pediatrics Liver MRI/MRE Study

Drs. Kara Calkins, Holden Wu and their research team from the UCLA Departments of Pediatrics and Radiology respectively are conducting a study to learn more about liver disease in children.

The team is recruiting the following two groups for participation:

- Healthy children between the ages of 6-17 years who do not have liver disease and are not overweight/obese.
- Children between the ages of 6-17 years with liver disease, suspected to have/has liver fibrosis and may/may not require an abdominal MRI/MRE as part of routine care.

All participants will undergo a 90-minute abdominal MRI/MRE which will involve short breath-holds.

After completing the test, all participants will conclude their participation in the study. Participants will be compensated with $75 gift card for their time + travel.
